Learn why your credit card may be charged even when using Gelato Wallets

Updated over a week ago

This article explains why your credit card might still be charged even if you have Gelato Wallets enabled.

Insufficient Funds in Gelato Wallet

If your Gelato Wallet doesn't have enough funds to cover the entire order amount, your registered credit card will be charged for the remaining balance. For instance, if an order costs EUR 15 and your wallet has EUR 10, your card will be debited for the remaining EUR 5.

Automatic Top-Up Enabled

When you have an automatic top-up activated for your Gelato Wallet, your credit card will be automatically charged to ensure sufficient funds are available in your wallet. To learn more about automatic top-ups, please refer to this article.
