How can I delete a product or variant from my Squarespace store?

This article provides a step-by-step guide on how to delete products or variants from your Squarespace store, either through Gelato or directly within Squarespace. It also explains the importance of syncing your products after making changes in Squarespace.


Deleting from Gelato

You can easily remove unwanted products and variants directly from Gelato. Here's how:

  1. Go to the product or variant you want to delete.

  2. Click on the three dots next to "Edit" or "Edit variant".

  3. Select "Delete".

  4. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

Once you confirm, the deletion will be automatically synced to your Squarespace store. Please note: This action cannot be undone. If you need the product again, you'll have to re-add it, either from Gelato or directly in Squarespace.


Deleting from Squarespace

You can also remove products or variants directly from your Squarespace store. Here's how:

Deleting a Product

  1. Log in to your Squarespace account.

  2. Go to "Commerce" > "Inventory".

  3. Check the box next to the product you want to delete.

  4. Click on "Delete".

Deleting a Variant

  1. Log in to your Squarespace account.

  2. Go to "Commerce" > "Inventory".

  3. Select the product that contains the variant you want to delete.

  4. Click on "Manage Options".

  5. Find the variant you want to delete and click on the bin icon.

Syncing Products After Deletion in Squarespace

After deleting products or variants in Squarespace, it's crucial to sync your products for the changes to be reflected in Gelato. This ensures that your inventory stays up-to-date across both platforms.

To sync your products, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Gelato account.

  2. Navigate to your product list.

  3. Click on the "Sync products" button.
