How to connect my Etsy store to Gelato?
How to connect my Etsy store to Gelato?
Updated over a week ago

In this article, we will explain how to connect your Etsy store. Watch this short video or follow the steps described below!

Steps to connect your store:

  1. First, you will need to create both accounts. Go to etsy.com to create a new Etsy account (please be sure that you create a Seller account) and then Create a Gelato account if you don't have one yet. Watch this short video to see how to create your Etsy store.
Complete all 6 steps of the Etsy account creation to avoid any issues down the line. You will be able to adjust/update the information at a later point if needed.

Etsy release a new layout in April 2023 so the below guide might look a bit different.

You can return to the old layout here:

You need at least one listing to finish setting up your Etsy seller account in order to be able to open your shop and access Etsy Shop Manager. You can delete this listing at a later point if needed.
As part of the setup, Etsy will ask you to list your print production partners, in case you are selling print-on-demand products on your store. Just add Gelato as your print production partner. You don't have to publicly show Gelato as your production partner, you can choose to make this information hidden for your customer.
Once you are done creating your account, you will reach this screen. Congratulations! You can now connect your store to Gelato and start selling!

  2. Connect your store to Gelato
Go to your Gelato account, select Stores, and click on Connect button.

You will need to grant access to the Gelato app and within seconds your Etsy store will be connected to Gelato!

To connect 2 or more stores, make sure to log out from your Etsy account, in the Gelato dashboard select the option to connect to an Etsy store and then log into the store you would like to connect to next.

If you struggle with connecting your store to Gelato, please try some basic troubleshooting, such as:

    * Make sure that your browser is updated to the latest version
    * Try disabling plugins that might block pop-up windows in your browser
    * Try using Google Chrome
    * Clear cookies in your browser

If none of the above helps, please contact our Customer Service team here.

  3. Add products or Migrate existing ones

If you are already using another print on demand provider to fulfill your orders, you can migrate your existing products to be fulfilled with Gelato (more about this process here). If you don't have any existing products/listings in your Etsy store, you can add Gelato products in minutes! Read more about it here.

The products created will be added as a draft, this is done so that Etsy won't charge you until you are sure that you really want to publish that product.
