Product and Variant Statuses
When you view your store from the Gelato Dashboard, you'll find a list of all your products, each with a status indicating its connection with Gelato. Here's what each status means:
Connected: Gelato will fulfill orders for this variant.
Not Connected: Gelato won't fulfill orders for this variant.
Ignored: Gelato will ignore this variant, typically because another provider is fulfilling it.
You can click on a product to see detailed information about its variants and their specifications.
Managing Products and Variants
You can manage your products and variants directly within the Gelato Dashboard. Here's how:
Deleting Products and Variants
You have the option to remove products and variants from Gelato. This action will also sync with your Shopify store and cannot be undone.
To delete a product or variant:
Go to the product details page.
Click on the three dots next to "Edit" or "Edit variant."
Select "Delete."
Confirm the deletion.
Alternatively, you can delete products directly from your Shopify store:
Go to your Shopify admin.
Navigate to "Products" > "All products."
Select the product you want to delete.
Click on "More actions" and choose "Delete products."
Ignoring Products and Variants
If you prefer not to delete a product or variant, you can set its status to "Ignored." This means Gelato won't process orders for it. To ignore a product or variant:
For unconnected variants: Click the "Ignore" button next to the variant.
For connected variants: Click the three-dot menu and choose either "Disconnect" (sets status to "Not Connected") or "Ignore" (sets status to "Ignored").
