Choose a product from our catalog
​Select the category you would like to explore, then select the product, this will bring you to our editor so you can customize it.

Add your design
​For example, you selected the category "Framed posters" and then as a product "Classic Matte Paper Wooden Framed Poster", in the editor you will see all the available on the left. The variants in this case refer to specific product configurations (size, color, orientation), once you select the combinations you want to work with, they will appear on the right hand of the edit. See below:

Now you can upload your design by clicking on Add new > Add image. Once the image is uploaded it will appear in your Gallery on the left. Click on it to add it to your product. You can add multiple images.

You can further customize the design according to your needs by selecting the image and using the controls on the menu at the top the make changes.

Once you have the design ready, you will be able to select whether you want to apply the changes to all the variants or only to some of them. Click Continue when you are done.

Mockups
​On the next page, you can choose how you want these products to be displayed on your Shopify store. Gelato offers a wide range of scenes you can choose from to make your designs look stunning and realistic in your store. At the top, you can select the different mockup styles and filter by scene. At the bottom, you will see how these styles are applied to the variants you are uploading.
You can choose what the main product image is going to be as well as the mockup style used for the variants.

Please remember that in Shopify a variant can only have one image that will be in the same mockup style as the main product image.

You can also choose whether to add the mockups as PNGs - which are bigger but transparent files - or JPGs - which are smaller and will make your pages load faster. More info on mockups can be found here.

Product Information
​On this page, you will be able to tailor the title and description of your product. By default, you will see the product name and description from our product catalog.
You can also add tags at this stage, so your customers will be able to easily find your products!
Select if you want to add the product to a collection. Please note that you will be able to add the product only to a manual collection.
Specify whether the product should be visible to your store visitors or not. The product that should not be visible will be added as an Active product, however, it will have no Sales Channels assigned to it. This can be amended later on as described here
Lastly, choose if you want to offer free shipping for this product - in this case, the product will be automatically assigned to a Gelato free shipping profile
Then click on Continue.

Set the price
​Gelato has a pricing tool that will help you set the price of your product and even set (automatically) how much margin you would like to have on each product/variant.
In this step, you will be able to see both the Gelato price (which is what Gelato will charge you for the production of the product) as well as the recommended retail price (which is what we suggest you charge your customer for the product). You can always update it to your preferred pricing. Once you are happy with the prices, don't forget to Publish the product (top-right corner).

Please remember that the Gelato price is for the product only and does not include shipping or applicable taxes.

If you go back to Shopify and click on Products, you will find the product you just published available to be purchased from your store.
