How to publish multiple products with your design?

Learn how to use Gelato's multiple products feature to streamline product publishing

Updated over a week ago

This article explains how to streamline your product publishing process with our multiple products feature. This feature allows you to upload your designs, create mockups, set prices, and publish to your store – all in one go. It's a great way to save time and get your products in front of customers quickly.

Getting Started

The multiple products feature works seamlessly with all Gelato direct integrations, including:

  • Shopify

  • Etsy

  • WooCommerce

  • Wix

  • Squarespace

  • BigCommerce

To get started, navigate to the top right corner of your Gelato account and click the '+ Create product' button. From the dropdown menu, select 'Multiple products'.

Alternatively, you can find the 'Multiple Products' option within the 'Stores' section. Click on 'Add product → Multiple products'.

Uploading Your Designs

Once you've selected 'Multiple Products', you'll be directed to a new screen where you can easily upload your designs. You have two options for uploading:

  • Drag and drop your files directly into the designated area.

  • Use the provided options to browse and select files from your device.

After uploading your designs, click 'Continue'. Gelato will automatically generate product previews across various categories, allowing you to quickly see how your designs look on different products.

Selecting and Publishing

From the generated previews, choose the products you want to publish. You can select as many as you need.

Once you've made your selections, click 'Continue'. You'll then have the opportunity to select your preferred mockups for each product.

After choosing your mockups, click 'Continue' again.

Product Details and Pricing

The next step involves adding titles, descriptions, tags, and collections for your products. You can use the pre-filled information from our product catalog or customize it to your liking.

Finally, you'll need to set the pricing for your products. Take your time to review and adjust as needed.

Don't forget to review your product names and use the 'Edit product options' button if you need to add translations to your variants.

Publishing or Saving as Templates

Once everything is set, click 'Publish' to make your products live in your store. If you're not ready to publish just yet, or if you haven't connected your store, simply save your designs as templates to revisit and publish later. You can learn more about using templates here.

Important Note for Etsy Users

When using Gelato's multiple products workflow for multi-category items with different sizes, Etsy may generate inactive variants. These variants won't be visible to your customers. For example, if you select a 20x20 cm / 8x8" variant for a canvas but not for posters, Etsy might automatically create inactive poster variants in that size. It's essential to leave the toggle for such variants unchanged to keep them hidden.
