Can I change the details of an Etsy product connected to Gelato?
Updated over a week ago

This article explains how to make changes to your Etsy product listings that are connected to Gelato. It covers updating various details such as designs, mockups, titles, descriptions, and prices.

Important Considerations Before Editing

Before you begin making changes to your Etsy product details, keep the following in mind:

  • To prevent your listing from being removed, ensure that the product you're editing is in either draft or active status on Etsy. Editing a listing while it's being published in Gelato will result in its removal.

  • For products connected after May 27, 2021, where all variants are linked to the same product type (e.g., all variants are posters), you can edit them directly. However, if your products were added or connected before this date, or if the variants have different product types, you'll need to follow a different process.

Editing Products Connected After May 27, 2021 (All Variants with the Same Product Type)

  1. Go to the Stores section and choose the store where the product is located.

  2. Locate the product in the list and click on it.

  3. On the product page, select the appropriate editing option:

    • Edit designs: Change the design file.

    • Edit mockups: Change the product mockups.

    • Edit details: Change the product title and description.

    • Edit prices: Change the product prices and your profit margin.

  4. After making the necessary changes, click on Publish changes.

Editing Products Added/Connected Before May 27, 2021, or Products with Different Variant Types

  1. Navigate to the Stores section and select the relevant store.

  2. Find the product you want to edit and click on it.

  3. Locate the specific variant you want to modify and click on Edit next to it.

  4. Follow the prompts to reconfigure the product and upload any new designs.
