Learn how to offer multiple design options for a single product to enhance your customers' shopping experience and boost sales

This article explains how to provide your customers with multiple design options for a single product, enhancing their shopping experience and potentially increasing your sales.

Please note that this feature is currently not supported for Mugs and Polyester Roll-up banners.


Activating the Multiple Design Options Feature

To activate this feature, follow these simple steps:

  1. Log in to your Gelato account and navigate to your store section.

  2. Go to the 'Product' section and open the product you want to modify in the Design Editor.

  3. Find the 'Multiple Design Options' feature toggle. This toggle is deactivated by default, so you'll need to turn it on manually.
    Tip: The toggle is located under the size variants section.

  4. Switch the toggle to activate the Multiple Design Options feature.

  5. After activation, a 'Design Options' section will appear in the left-hand menu of the 'Product' section. You can now start adding your desired design options to your products.

Please note, that for now, it's not possible to use multiple design options and expand a product features at the same time.

Understanding Variant Limits

While you have the freedom to add numerous design options, it's crucial to stay within the variant limits set by your e-commerce platform. A product variant is a unique combination of options available for a specific product. For instance, a T-shirt offered in sizes S, M, and L, and colors red and blue, has six variants (3 sizes x 2 colors = 6 variants).

Bear in mind that exceeding the variant limit will result in an error message. Similarly, if certain variants are unavailable because specific colors aren't offered in all sizes, you'll receive an information message.
