Importing Your Squarespace Orders to Gelato
Effortlessly bring your Squarespace orders and products to Gelato using the Import Order function! This feature pulls new orders from your store into Gelato, simplifying your fulfillment process. Once activated, any orders in your store that aren’t yet linked to a Gelato product will appear in your Gelato dashboard as Not connected.
Activating the Import Orders Feature
To activate the Import Order feature, follow these simple steps:
Go to the Stores page.
Select the store you want to import orders from.
Navigate to the Settings tab.
Check the box for Import not connected orders.
Click Save Changes.
Once activated, all new orders from your store will show up in your Gelato order list. You’ll also receive an email notification for any orders with items that need action, making order management a breeze!
Managing ‘Not Connected’ Orders
Orders marked as Not connected haven’t been automatically sent for fulfillment. This gives you the flexibility to review and manage them individually. Here’s how:
In your Gelato dashboard, go to the orders section.
Click on a Not Connected order.
To proceed, click the Complete order button at the top of the page.
You'll be prompted to either Connect or Ignore each unconnected item in the order.
Connecting and Ignoring Products
For each Not Connected item, you have two options:
Connect Product
Click the blue Connect button to fulfill the item through Gelato. You can connect it to:
An existing item in your ecommerce store or custom store.
A new product created from the Gelato catalog, personalized with your design.
Connecting a product ensures that the current order, and all future orders with the same product variant, are automatically fulfilled by Gelato.
Ignore Product
Use the Ignore option when you don't want Gelato to fulfill the item. This is useful if you’re:
Using different fulfillment methods for certain orders (e.g., local suppliers for local orders).
Selling products that Gelato doesn’t offer, requiring fulfillment by another provider.
When you choose to ignore a product, you have three options:
Ignore this item for this order: This option gives you flexibility on an order-by-order basis. Future orders with the same item will still appear as Not Connected, allowing you to decide whether to connect or ignore them each time.
Ignore this variant for all incoming orders: Use this to exclude specific product variations from Gelato fulfillment. For instance, if you fulfill certain sizes with Gelato and others with a different supplier, you can permanently ignore the latter variations.
Ignore this product for all incoming orders in all variants: This option completely excludes a product and all its variations from Gelato fulfillment. This is suitable for products you never intend to fulfill through Gelato.
