Updated over a week ago

This article provides a comprehensive guide to troubleshooting technical issues with your WooCommerce and Gelato integration. From checking the Gelato app's health status to understanding and utilizing webhooks, we've got you covered.

Monitoring Your Gelato App Status

Having trouble with your WooCommerce integration? Your first stop should be the Gelato app status within your WordPress/WooCommerce dashboard. Here's how to find it:

  1. Navigate to the "Gelato app" section.

  2. Click on "Status."

This page provides a snapshot of your Gelato app's health. If you're experiencing difficulties, share the complete content of this status page with our customer service team for swift assistance.

Working with Webhooks

Webhooks act as messengers between your WooCommerce store and Gelato, ensuring seamless data flow. For a smooth integration, six specific webhooks should be active. To locate them:

  1. Go to your WooCommerce dashboard.

  2. Click on "Settings."

  3. Select "Advanced."

  4. Choose "Webhooks."

Your webhooks page should resemble this:

Unlocking Webhook Logs

If your webhooks appear correctly configured, but you're still encountering connection or order issues, delve into your webhook logs for deeper insights. These logs can be accessed through:

  1. Navigate to "WooCommerce."

  2. Select "Status."

  3. Choose "Logs."

Troubleshooting Common Issues

WooCommerce Webhooks Failure

If your Gelato app status indicates a webhook failure ("WooCommerce Webhooks => FAIL"), a reset is in order. This process removes and reinstalls the necessary Gelato REST API and webhook settings within WooCommerce.

Two options are available:

Resetting via the Plugin

  1. Go to "Gelato" -> "Status."

  2. Locate and click the "Reset plugin" button at the bottom left. This action disconnects your store from Gelato and removes the associated API and webhook settings.

  3. Reconnect your store to Gelato to re-establish the integration.

Deactivating and Reactivating the Plugin

  1. Go to the "Plugins" section in your WordPress dashboard.

  2. Deactivate the Gelato integration for WooCommerce plugin. This will automatically remove the Gelato REST API and webhooks settings.

  3. Reactivate the plugin to re-establish the connection and configure the necessary settings.

Site Redirection Failure

If your Gelato app status shows "Check site redirection => FAIL," a configuration adjustment within your WordPress settings is needed.

  1. Navigate to "Settings" -> "General" in your WordPress dashboard.

  2. Ensure that the website address and WordPress address fields are identical and use HTTPS. This ensures secure communication between your store and Gelato.

  3. If you need guidance on setting up SSL, refer to the WooCommerce documentation: https://woocommerce.com/document/ssl-and-https/.
