To sell print-on-demand products tax-free for resale in the US, you need to generate a resale certificate directly through our secure tax partner, Avalara.
Uploading Your Resale Certificate
To generate your resale certificate for tax-free purchases in the US, follow these steps:
Log in to your Gelato Dashboard.
Go to the Billing -> Tax Center.
Select Resale Certificate.
Click on the “Get resale certificate” button.
In the Avalara portal:
Select the state(s) where you are registered for resale.
Provide your business and tax information as requested.
Review and submit your certificate.
Once completed, your resale certificate will sync automatically with your Gelato account.

Important Note
Please ensure that the Company Name on your resale certificate matches the Company Name in your Gelato Dashboard exactly. Failure to provide a matching Company Name will result in the rejection of your resale certificate.
