Important: This operation will affect your store listings and cannot be undone. Please ensure your uploaded files are accurate before proceeding.
Bulk update features are located in the Gelato dashboard under the Stores tab on your store page, under Update Product Designs and Update Product Mockups.
Update product designs is ideal for merchants who:
Need to update designs across multiple product variants at once.
Want to refresh existing designs without editing each product manually.
Prefer a quick and efficient way to apply new design files in bulk.
Example: If you have a T-shirt with four variants and want to update the design, you can upload a new file, and the change will apply to all variants automatically.
Follow the steps below to complete the process:
1. Prepare your CSV file
To update product designs in bulk, you’ll need to work with a CSV file.
Go to the Stores tab in your Gelato dashboard.
Select your store and navigate to Bulk Operations and select Update Product Designs.
Click Export CSV to get a file containing your existing store products.
2. Update the Print File URLs
In the CSV file, locate the column for Print File URLs and add URLs with the updated design file.
Ensure the new design files are uploaded to a hosting service that provides direct URLs.
Double-check that each product has the correct design to avoid mismatches.
3. Upload the updated CSV file
Once you've updated the file:
Return to the Update Product Designs section in Gelato dashboard.
Click Upload CSV and select your updated file.
Your file will be automatically validated to ensure it’s correctly formatted before processing.
4. Apply changes and review
Once the upload is complete, the new designs will be applied to all selected product variants.
Check your store to confirm the updates are reflected correctly.
Update product mockups is useful for merchants who:
Want to maintain consistent mockups across multiple products.
Need to update mockups for several items without making changes one by one.
Prefer using a reference product to apply mockups in bulk.
Example: If you want multiple products to have the same mockups, you can use a reference product to apply the updates in bulk, ensuring a uniform look across your store.
Follow the steps below to complete the process:
1. Prepare Your Connected Product
Select the connected product in your store to use as a base. This product will serve as the reference for creating new products.
Product ID: You can find the product ID in your dashboard by checking the page URL when editing a product. It’s the unique string at the end of the link, like this:

{product-id}is the unique identifier for your product.
Make sure your template product has the correct design placement and options (e.g., pricing, mockups, etc.) since these settings will be applied to all the new products created from this template.
2. Download the CSV file
Go to the Stores tab in your Gelato dashboard.
Select your store and navigate to Update Product Mockups.
Click Export CSV to get a file containing your existing products.
3. Update the file with the reference Product ID
Locate the Reference Product ID column in the CSV file.
Keep only the products you want to update—remove any rows for products that don’t need new mockups.
Ensure each remaining product retains its existing Product ID and title in the file.
Double-check that all products in the list are compatible with the reference product before proceeding.
Tip: If you’re applying the same mockups to multiple products, you can copy and paste the Reference Product ID across rows.
4. Upload the updated CSV file
Go back to the Update Product Mockups section.
Click Upload CSV and select your updated file.
Your file will be automatically validated to ensure it’s correctly formatted before processing.
5. Apply changes and review
Once the upload is complete, the new mockups will be applied to all selected products.
Check your store to confirm the updates are displayed correctly.
