Updated over 4 months ago

This article outlines the product formats and dimensions supported by Gelato. It provides a comprehensive guide to understanding product dimensions, bleed requirements, and how to accurately determine the correct dimensions for your print files.

Product Dimensions and Specifications

For a comprehensive list of products and formats offered by Gelato, explore our product catalog.

Detailed dimensions for each product are available on the respective product pages. Additionally, you can download design templates that provide precise specifications for your design files.

You can download the design template directly from the product page. These templates provide the exact dimensions required for your design files, ensuring accurate printing.

Understanding Bleed

Bleed is an essential printing term that refers to the extra space added around your design to ensure that there are no white edges after trimming. While product dimensions in the catalog don't include bleed, our design templates do.

For a detailed understanding of our design requirements, including bleed, please refer to this article.

When submitting a PDF file, ensure it includes the bleed area. For example, a poster with print dimensions of 300x400mm needs a PDF size of 308x408mm (including 4mm bleed on each side).

Common Product Formats

Below are examples of common product formats and their specifications:

  • Flat Formats: Always submit flat format designs with bleed. The final product dimensions will be smaller after trimming.

  • Folded Formats: Whether single-folded, roll-folded, or accordion-folded, submit your design unfolded and with bleed. The final dimensions will be smaller after trimming and folding.

  • Multi-page Formats: Ranging from 8 to 250 pages, these formats offer various binding options. Design dimensions are similar to single-folded brochures. For detailed information on multi-page formats, see this article.
