This article provides a step-by-step guide on how to modify the shipping address for an order within the Gelato platform. It also outlines limitations and provides guidance on handling address changes at different order stages.


Updating a Shipping Address

You can easily change the shipping address for an order, as long as the order status is still in the "Passed" state. Here's how:

  1. Access the Orders page and locate the order you wish to modify.

  2. Click on the order to view its details. Locate the shipping address section, and click on "Edit".

  3. Make the necessary adjustments to the shipping address.

  4. Confirm the changes by clicking "Save".


Important Considerations

Keep in mind the following constraints when modifying shipping addresses:

  • Country Modification: It's not feasible to change the country of an existing order. If the country needs to be changed, a new order has to be placed.

  • Order Status: Once an order's status progresses to "In Production", altering the shipping address is no longer possible. Similar to a country change, a new order would be required.

In case Gelato reaches out regarding an address correction due to potential errors, it's essential to update the address even if the order is in the "Printed" stage.
