Getting Started with Personalization Studio
Access the Personalization Studio from your dashboard to begin creating and customizing products with a variety of personalization elements.
Choosing Your Personalization Option
You have the following options for setting up the personalization experience:
Shopify In-Page Personalization: This option allows your customers to see all their personalization options directly on the product page, with live previews as they make their selections. It's the most user-friendly option, allowing for simultaneous personalization of multiple areas.
Editor Personalization: This option lets your customers personalize products using a design editor right on the store page.
Disable Personalization Options but Enable Personalization for a Specific Layer: This option sends customers an email with a link to the editor after they purchase the product, allowing them to personalize a specific layer of the design.
Adding Personalized Elements
Once you've chosen your personalization option, you can start adding personalized elements to your product:
Image Personalization
Click 'Add Personalized Layer'.
Upload an image or add a placeholder image. Enable customization by clicking the toggle.
Text Personalization
Add a text element for personalized text.
Customize the font style, size, and positioning.
Enable personalization for each text layer by clicking the toggle.
Graphics Personalization
Create a graphic collection by adding your desired images to a new collection.
Resize the graphics to fit your design.
Change the label to clearly identify the graphics (e.g., 'Symbol').
Finalizing Your Design
Assign Clear Labels: Use clear and concise labels for all personalizable elements to guide your customers and help them understand the purpose of each field.
Add Conditions and Collections: Further customize the personalization experience by adding conditions and collections, which you can access by clicking on "Add Personalized Layer +".
Preview Your Product: Before publishing your product, use the preview feature to ensure everything appears as intended. Test different customization options to see real-time changes and make adjustments as needed.
Publish Your Product: Once you are satisfied with the design, publish your product on your Shopify store. Your customers can now personalize the product according to their preferences, making their shopping experience more engaging and tailored.

Remember to enable the Gelato Personalizer app in your Shopify theme settings for in-page personalization to function correctly.
