Creating personalized products for your Shopify store has never been easier, thanks to Personalization Studio. In this guide, we'll walk you through the simple steps to design customizable products that allow your customers to add their personal touch.
How does it work?
Begin by accessing Personalization Studio in your dashboard. Here, you can create and customize products with various personalization elements.
Choose the personalization option:
Shopify in-page personalization: Your customers can check out all their personalization options on the product page with live previews. With in-page personalization, customers will also be able to personalize multiple areas simultaneously, without any extra effort.
Editor personalization: Let your customers personalize products right on the store page using the design editor.
Disable Personalization Options but Enable personalization for a specific layer: After customers buy the product they will receive an email with the link to the editor to personalize the designStart adding personalized elements:
Image Personalization:
Click the 'Add Personalized Layer'.
Upload or add a placeholder image and click the toggle, this makes the image layer customizable.
Text Personalization:
Add a text element for personalized text.
Customize font styles, sizes, and positioning.
Enable personalization for each text layer by clicking the toggle and allowing personalization.
Graphics Personalization:
Create a graphic collection by adding desired images to a new collection.
Resize the graphics to fit your design.
Change the label to identify the graphics (e.g., 'Symbol').
Assign clear labels for personalizable elements. These labels guide customers in understanding the purpose of each field.
Conditions and Collections can be added by clicking on "Add Personalized Layer +"
Before publishing your product, utilize the preview feature to ensure everything appears as intended. Test different customization options to see real-time changes.
Once satisfied with the design, publish your product on your Shopify store. Customers visiting your store can now personalize the product according to their preferences, making the shopping experience more engaging and tailored.
Remember to enable the Gelato Personalizer app in your Shopify theme settings - it is mandatory if you want to offer the in-page personalization.
