What happens when my Gelato+ Gold subscription ends?
Updated over a week ago

This article outlines the changes to your Gelato account after your Gelato+ Gold subscription ends. While some features will remain active for a limited time, it's important to understand the long-term impact. This overview will help you navigate those changes seamlessly.

Account and Feature Access

  • Number of Stores and Users: Gelato+ Gold allows up to 25 stores and 20 users. After your subscription, this reduces to 2 stores and 2 users. Existing stores and users beyond this limit won't be immediately affected, but restrictions may apply in the future. Legacy Gelato customers remain unaffected.

  • Easy Product Expansion: This feature will no longer be accessible, requiring manual product and variant creation across categories. Products created with this feature remain unaffected.

  • Workflow Automation: This feature will be deactivated, necessitating manual order approvals and file uploads. The manual approval workflow will then apply.

  • Custom/Hidden Personalization Buttons: You won't be able to adjust or revert button customizations made in the Edit Store Details page. To regain access, simply resume your subscription.

  • Live-Rate Shipping: While currently active post-subscription, this may change. Disabling live rates will require the manual linking of items to shipping profiles.

  • Shipping Profit Margin: You won't be able to activate, deactivate, or adjust settings for this feature. However, your existing settings will remain active. Subscription renewal restores access to this feature.

  • Download High-Quality Mockups: This feature will no longer be available. Resume your subscription to regain access.

Impact on Product Creation and Sales

  • Graphics and Clipart, Image Filters, and Adjustments: You won't be able to create new products using these features. Existing products using these elements remain for sale but orders will fail when sent to Gelato. You'll receive email notifications for failed orders. To rectify this, you can resume your subscription and reorder, hide these products, or adjust the product design to remove layers using these features.

  • Shutterstock Essential and Premium: Creating new products with Shutterstock elements won't be possible without an active subscription. Existing products remain for sale, but orders will fail in Gelato. You can remove Shutterstock image layers and approve the order, resume your subscription and reorder, or hide these products. Legacy users can still use images from these collections for a fee, detailed here.

  • Premium Wall Art and Apparel Mockups: Adding new premium mockups to products will be unavailable. Existing premium mockups remain in your store for now, but this may change.
