This article outlines the implications of a Gelato+ subscription ending, including the impact on features and previously created orders. It clarifies the differences between current Gelato+ subscribers and legacy Gelato users.
Changes to Gelato+ Features Upon Subscription End
When your Gelato+ subscription or free trial concludes, you'll no longer have access to Gelato+ features. This can affect orders placed for items created using these features. For clarity on the specific implications for Gelato+ Gold subscribers, refer to our dedicated article What happens when my Gelato+ Gold subscription ends?
Legacy Gelato users, who signed up before the November 2021 Gelato+ launch, might experience different outcomes compared to users who joined after the launch.
Specific Feature Changes
Number of Stores and Users
Active Gelato+ subscribers enjoy the advantage of adding up to 10 stores and 5 users to their company account. This facilitates multiple sales points and offers tailored access for individual team members.
After the subscription period, the allowance reduces to a maximum of 2 stores and 2 users. If you had previously added more than the permitted number of stores or users, the excess stores and users will not be immediately affected. However, please be aware that restrictions may be implemented in the future.
It's important to note that these limitations do not apply to legacy Gelato customers, who remain unaffected.
Custom/Hidden Personalization Buttons
Once your subscription ends, you won't be able to modify or revert changes made to buttons on the Edit Store Details page. Should you need to make further adjustments, you can easily reinstate your subscription and regain access to these settings.
Live-Rate Shipping
Post-subscription, the ability to activate the live-rate shipping feature within your store settings will be disabled. However, in the current system, live-rate shipping will remain active even after your subscription ends. Please be aware that this could change in the future. If live rates are deactivated, you will need to manually connect each item to its corresponding shipping profile.
Graphics and Clipart, Image Filters, and Adjustments
While existing products using these features will stay available in your store, new product creation using Graphics and Clipart or Image filters and adjustments won't be possible after your subscription ends. Customers can still purchase these existing products, but order fulfillment by Gelato will be unsuccessful. You will receive email notifications for any such failed orders.
To fulfill these orders, you can either reactivate your subscription and process a reorder or modify the product design to exclude layers using these features. Hiding these products from your storefront is another alternative.
Shutterstock Essential and Premium
Post-subscription, creating new products using Shutterstock elements will no longer be possible. However, resuming your subscription will instantly reinstate this ability.
Existing items created with Shutterstock elements will remain in your store, available for customer purchase. It's important to note that Gelato will not be able to fulfill these orders. You can then opt to remove the Shutterstock image layers from your designs and proceed with order approval, reactivate your subscription and reorder, or conceal these products from your store visitors.
Legacy users retain access to images from the Shutterstock Essential and Premium collections, but a nominal fee will apply for every sale of a product featuring these elements. For a comprehensive understanding of the applicable fees, please refer to the detailed information provided here.
Premium Wall Art and Apparel Mockups
Upon subscription expiry, you will lose the ability to incorporate new premium mockups into your products. The existing premium mockups will, for the time being, remain accessible in your store. However, this is subject to change in the future.
Download High-Quality Mockups
The feature enabling the download of high-quality mockups will be deactivated once your subscription concludes. To regain access to this feature, simply reactivate your subscription.
